1. What is the 'Apologetics' course?
Apologetics is a term which indicates giving a defense. In this course, Christian Apologetics, you will learn how to give a defense for the Christian faith.
The course consists of 3 modules:
- Module 1: 12 Steps that Demonstrate Christianity to be True
- Module 2: Apologetics Issues
- Module 3: Conversational Apologetics
Module 1 will provide you with a well-rounded apologetic method, taught by Dr. Norman Geisler.
Module 2 is taught by several instructors including Dr. Gary Habermas, Dr. Richard Howe, Dr. William Dembski, and more! This module will provide you with some in-depth information regarding specific topics, some of which include:
- Faith and Reason
- The Resurrection
- Biblical Interpretation
- Intelligent Design
- The New Atheists
Module 3 is a practical module aimed at helping you employ the material from the first two modules in your evangelism. This module is taught by Dr. David Geisler.
2. How do I register for a course?
To register for a course you need to fill out the registration form on the home page. Once you are registered you can then purchase a particular course (Currently our only available course is Apologetics).
3. What am I purchasing?
After registering for the SES Lay Institute you have the ability to begin purchasing courses. Currently our only course is the Apologetics course. This course consists of three distinct modules. When you purchase the course, you are purchasing all of the modules. There will be no new fees once you have purchased a course.
4. Can I skip ahead to any module I like?
No. You must complete the courses in a linear fashion. For each module you will move from one lesson to the next until you have completed the module. Upon completion of this module, the next module will open up to you. After you have completed a lesson it will remain available for you to review.
5. Will there be courses other than the Apologetics course available?
YES!!!! We are currently in post-production of our 2nd course: Biblical Studies..... We are hoping for a late Summer/early Fall 2017 release of that course.
6. Is there a time limit for me to complete the course?
No, the course is completely self-paced. There are no time restrictions for the students; you are free to study as you are able.
7. Are there other required materials for the Apologetics course?
No. We suggest you purchase and read I Don't Have Enough Faith to Be an Atheist by Dr. Norm Geisler & Dr. Frank Turek. We do not require that you purchase this textbook. The course is completely self-contained.
